What is The Valentine Visitor?
The Valentine Visitor is a magical family tradition designed to bring more connection, creativity, and kindness to the days leading up to Valentine’s Day. The gift set includes a beautifully illustrated storybook, a keepsake journal, and a Cozy Cottage that gives your child’s imaginary Love Bug a special place to call home.
How does the tradition work?
Begin by reading the story together and assembling the Cozy Cottage. From February 1 through February 13, your child’s imaginary Love Bug secretly visits each night and leaves a special letter to discover the next morning. Your child can write, draw, or respond in the keepsake journal.
Is there a real Love Bug included?
No physical Love Bug is included. The Love Bug is imaginary, allowing every child to picture and name their own special Valentine Visitor.
What age is The Valentine Visitor designed for?
The tradition is recommended for children ages four and older. Younger children may enjoy drawing pictures or having an adult help write their responses, while older children can write independently.
When should we begin?
The tradition begins on February 1 and continues for 13 nights, with the final visit taking place before Valentine’s Day.
What is included in the gift set?

What is the Cozy Cottage?
The Cozy Cottage is the imaginary home of your child’s Love Bug. Families assemble it together and display it during the Valentine season. It helps bring the story to life and gives children a special place to imagine their Love Bug resting between nightly visits.
Are the Love Bug letters included?
The story introduces families to the Love Bug letter tradition. Additional information about letter ideas, printables, and available resources will be provided through our website and the Love Bug List.
Can siblings participate together?
Yes. Siblings can share one family tradition, or each child can have an individual journal and imagine a Love Bug of their own.
Can we reuse the gift set each year?
Yes. The book and Cozy Cottage can become part of your family’s tradition year after year. Additional journals will be available separately so each year’s letters, drawings, and memories can be saved.
Will journal and Cozy Cottage refills be available?
Yes. Additional keepsake journals and Cozy Cottages are planned as separate products for returning families, siblings, and gift giving.
Do parents move the Love Bug?
There is no physical Love Bug to move. Parents simply place the nightly letter for their child to discover. The child imagines that their Love Bug delivered it while everyone was asleep.
Is The Valentine Visitor only for girls?
Not at all. The tradition was created for all children. Our signature blue branding and imaginative Love Bug experience were intentionally designed to feel welcoming to boys and girls alike.
